Our Impact
Casa de Luz has helped countless families in the Las Vegas neighborhoods: Naked City, Sherwood Forest, Sunrise Martin, and Paradise Flamingo. We are a faith-based community resource center embedded in the areas we serve. These neighborhoods are known for hardship, struggle, and even darkness. We bring light, love, and hope by providing the resources and support they need to transform their lives physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Casa does this through after-school programs for children and supportive services and resources for the entire family. Through these programs, we hope to create happier, healthier, and more productive neighborhoods and break the cycle of crime, poverty, and abuse.

Who we serve…
Our neighbors in naked city
Casa de Luz has faithfully served the area of Naked City for over 15 years. This area is known for drugs, crime, and poverty. Amongst all of this are amazing families trying their best to raise their children in a healthy way. Naked City serves as our organizational Hub in which we host one of our Youth Centers, Outreach, and our thriving Food Pantry. Beyond providing for the basic needs of our families, we offer wrap-around services, that help our families achieve sustainability.
our neighbors in sherwood forest
Sherwood Forest, near Casa Naked City, faces challenges similar to Naked City. However, this community lacks essential spaces for children - no parks, community centers, or safe play areas. Additionally, a strong gang presence makes it unsafe for children to be outside. To address this, in 2022 we opened a youth center for Sherwood Forest children, who also access resources at our Naked City Hub. We engage the community through outreach and lively community BBQs that many families attend.
Our neighbors in sunrise martin
Our Sunrise Martin location, at the corner of 28th Street and Stewart Avenue, hosts a youth program exclusively for teens inside the Chuck Minker Sports Complex. This neighborhood faces a high crime rate, and many teens here are at risk of crossing paths with law enforcement. We step in to offer a positive alternative by keeping teens off the streets after school and guiding them toward a better path. Through sports and mentorship we teach the social skills they need to succeed, and help them set meaningful goals for a brighter future.
Our neighbors in paradise flamingo
The Paradise Youth Center is located inside a family homeless shelter that houses over 500 children and their families. In 2023, the youth center opened to offer a transformative space where these children can learn, heal, and grow. The youth center provides essential resources and support, meeting the children where they are during this challenging time. Through its programming, the Paradise Youth Center aims to foster resilience and instill hope in the young shelter residents.
